Users Guide to Social Diary!

To Join:
-click on the 'Join Now' icon on the top right hand side of the homepage
-you will be directed to the membership page, select your tier of membership, fill out the fields and click 'Subscribe'

To Register for a Free Trial:
-click 'Join Now' and fill out the fields
-when you are asked to select a subscription type, select '
1 Week Trial Subscription'
-your trial submission will be registered and you will be notified via email when your trial subscription has been activated

The following features of the site will NOT require you to LOG-IN as a Member:
-to view About Social Diary
-to access the "JOIN NOW" page
-to view 2 examples of the Weekly Newsletter
-to view Hottest Member Parties & This Week's Best Events
-to view the Social Diary Blog, Fang's Pet of the Week and Cool Links

The following features of the site will require you to LOG-IN as a Member:
-to access the Diary and to Add or Modify an Event
-to Submit News, Party Pics, Member Offers or a Pet of the Week
-to enter a Member Offer
-to view Celebrity Calendar, Celebrity Search, Journo Search, Newsletter Archive, Brand Search & Supplier Directory
-to Modify your Subscription

To Log-in:
-go to
www.socialdiary.com.au
-click 'Login' in the top right hand corner
-in the first box type your username (which is your email address)
-in the second box type your password
-click the 'Log-in' box                                                                                                                

-if you have forgotten your password click ‘Forgot Password?’, insert your email and click ‘Recover’

To View the Diary:
-click the ‘Events Diary’ tile                                                                                                          

-then click ‘View Diary’
-you will be taken to the current month's page for events in Sydney
-to look at the events on a day, click on the date and the events will appear on the right
-to change months click on the arrows on the side of the month at the top of the calendar
-to change cities click on your chosen city at the top of the calendar, the current city shown is in bold
-to switch to view the calendar by week, click 'Week' at the top right of the calendar
-to switch to view different weeks click the arrows on either side of the listed week at the top of the calendar

To Add an Event:
-click the ‘Event Diary’ Tile                                                                                                     
-then click ‘Submit Event’

-fill out the information by clicking on each of the fields, and you can scroll through options
NB: you can select up to 3 option for ‘Event Style’, ‘Event Media’ and ‘Event Location’

  • Once all fields are filled out click ‘Submit’ and your event will be added to the Event Diary.

To Modify an Event:
- click the ‘Event Diary’ Tile                                                                                              
-then click ‘Modify Event’                                                                                                   

-a list of the events you have listed will appear
-click on 'Edit' next to the event you wish to modify
-it will take you to the page of information you have previously filled out when adding your event
-modify the areas you wish to change by clicking on the relevant fields
-when you have made your  changes click 'Submit' at the bottom of the right hand side    
-to exit this page without making changes click ‘Back To Event Diary’

-to cancel your changes click 'Cancel' at the bottom of the right hand side                        
-to remove your event from the Event Diary click ‘Delete’ next to the event you wish to delete


To View the News Feed:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
-then click on ‘News’
-the news feed will be displayed for you to read and respond to posts.

The View the Newsletter Archive:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
-then click on ‘News’                                                                                                       
-on the right side of the page click ‘Newsletter Archive’
 
-you can filter which newsletters are displayed using the ‘Filter Newsletters’ box and selecting which newsletters you would like to be shown

To Submit News:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
- the click on ‘Submit News’
-Select the category for your news item from the dropdown menu

-fill out all the details for your news item and be sure to include a picture
- Click the ‘Submit’ button                                                                                                 
-your item will be immediately displayed on the Social Diary Newsfeed and will be edited by Social Diary for possible newsletter inclusion.


To Submit a Pet of the Week:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
-the click on ‘Pets’
-the current Pet of the Week will appear for your weekly dose of cuteness!
-select ‘submit pet of the week’ at the bottom of the page                                                           

-fill out the form with the details of your furry / fluffy / feathered friend and be sure to attach a pic
-once you have filled out the form click ‘Submit’
-your pet will then be sent to Fang for perusal and then keep an eye out in the Friday newsletter to see their name in lights
NB: Portrait pictures are required, not landscape - and please submit clear photos, your pet looking straight to camera is preferable.

To View Industry Profiles:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
-then click on ‘Profiles’
-
a list of profiles of interesting people in the Australian Media Industry will appear for your reading pleasure
-click ‘View Extended Profile’ under the profile pic to read the whole profile
 

To Submit Industry Profiles:
-click on the ‘News’ Tile
-then click on ‘Profiles’
-
click ‘Register My Interest’ on the right side of the page
-an email page will pop up for you to submit your interest

To View Journo Search:

-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Journos’
-
search the journos name, publication or category of the industry they work in.
-click ‘Search’ and a list of Journos that fall under your selected fields will appear
-to export a spreadsheet of your Journo list click ‘Export Results’ on the top right hand of your list                                                                                                                                          
-if a contact is inaccurate report it using the ‘Report Inaccurate Content’ button, fill out the details as to why the contact is inaccurate and click ‘send’

To Add a Listing to the Journo Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Journos’
-
click ‘Add Journo’ on the top right of the page
-fill out all the required fields and click ‘Submit’
-your entry will then appear in the Journo Search

To Edit Your Listing in the Journo Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Journos’ and then ‘Edit My Listings’
-
journalists that you have added will appear
-click ‘Edit’ to make any edits to listing. The page you originally submitted will appear for you to make any edits. Once edits are complete click ‘Submit’

To View Talent Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Talent’
-
search the talents name, category of the industry they work in, location and/or gender
-click ‘Search’ and a list of talent that fall under your selected fields will appear

-to export a spreadsheet of your talent list click ‘Export Results’ on the top right hand of your list                                                                                                                                         
-if a contact is inaccurate report it using the ‘Report Inaccurate Content’ button, fill out the details as to why the contact is inaccurate and click ‘send’

To Add a Listing to the Talent Search:

-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Talent’
-
click ‘Add A Listing’ on the top right of the page
-fill out all the required fields including a picture and click ‘Submit’
-your entry will then appear in the Talent Search

To Edit Your Listing in the Talent Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Talent’ and then ‘Edit My Listings’
-
talent that you have added will appear
-click ‘Edit’ to make any edits to listing. The page you originally submitted will appear for you to make any edits. Once edits are complete click ‘Submit’

To View Brand Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Brand’
-
search the brand name or the category the brand falls under
-click ‘Search’ and a list of talent that fall under your selected fields will appear

-to export a spreadsheet of your talent list click ‘Export Results’ on the top right hand of your list                                                                                                                                         
-if a contact is inaccurate report it using the ‘Report Inaccurate Content’ button, fill out the details as to why the contact is inaccurate and click ‘send’

To Add a Listing to the Brand Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Brand’
-
click ‘Add A Client/Brand’ on the top right of the page
-fill out all the required fields including a picture and click ‘Submit’
-your entry will then appear in the Brand Search

To Edit Your Listing in the Brand Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Talent’ and then ‘Edit My Listings’
-
talent that you have added will appear
-click ‘Edit’ to make any edits to listing. The page you originally submitted will appear for you to make any edits. Once edits are complete click ‘Submit’

To View Supplier Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Supplier’
-
search the supplier name, category and/or state
-click ‘Search’ and a list of suppliers that fall under your selected fields will appear
-to export a spreadsheet of your supplier list click ‘Export Results’ on the top right hand of your list                                                                                                                                          
-if a contact is inaccurate report it using the ‘Report Inaccurate Content’ button, fill out the details as to why the contact is inaccurate and click ‘send’

To Add a Listing to the Supplier Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
- then click on ‘Supplier’
-
click ‘Add Supplier’ on the top right of the page
-fill out all the required fields including a picture and click ‘Submit’
-your entry will then appear in the Supplier Search

To Edit Your Listing in the Supplier Search:
-click on the ‘Database’ Tile
-then click on ‘Supplier’ and then ‘Edit My Listings’
-
suppliers  that you have added will appear
-click ‘Edit’ to make any edits to listing. The page you originally submitted will appear for you to make any edits. Once edits are complete click ‘Submit’

To View Celebrity Calendar:
-click on the ‘Celeb Calendar’ Tile
-then click on ‘View Calendar’
-you will view a running calendar of celebrities coming to Australia and how to contact them

To Enter a Member Offer:
-click on the ‘Member Offer’ Tile
-then click on ‘Enter Competitions’
-fill in your details in the fields below and click 'Submit'
NB: You can enter all Member Offers but only once each.

To Submit a Member Offer:
-click on the ‘Member Offer’ Tile
-then click on ‘Submit Competition’                                                                                        
-fill out the fields for your Member Offer and click 'Submit'                                                      
-You will be emailed a draft of your Member Offer for approval before it runs in the next Friday newsletter.

NB: member offers must have a minimum value of $500. The Member Offer can be made up of one prize valued at $500+ or a number of prize combinations to the value of $500+. The prize/s must be distributed to the winners promptly by the person making the offer.

To Search for Staff:
-click on the ‘Staff Search’ Tile
-then click on ‘View Staff Available’
- search the staff type, state and when they are available

-click ‘Search’ and a list of staff that fall under your selected fields will appear                          
-you can then view their CV and contact them for potential job opportunities

To Submit CV to Staff Search:
-click on the ‘Staff Search’ Tile
-then click on ‘Submit CV’
-fill out all the required fields, attach your CV and click ‘submit’                                                      
-your CV and details will then appear in the Staff Search for potential employers to view and contact you

 

To View Event Pics:
-click on the ‘Pic Gallery’ Tile
-then click on ‘Hottest Parties’
-click on an image of an event you would like to check out the pics for and read all about the event

To View Social Diary Event Pics:
-click on the ‘Pic Gallery’ Tile
-then click on ‘SD Parties’
-click on an image of a Social Diary Party that you would like to check out the pics for and read all about the event

To Submit Event Pics:
-click on the ‘Pic Gallery’ Tile
-then click on ‘Submit Pics’
-fill out all the required fields and add pictures by clicking ‘Choose File’. Click ‘Add Extra photo’ to add more pictures.                                                                                                   
-Click ‘submit’ when all details are filled out and images are submitted

NB: a minimum upload of 3 photos is required, maximum of 25.

To View Your Subscription:
-click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘View Subscription’
-the details of your subscription will then appear on the screen

To Edit Your Profile:
-click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘Edit My Profile’
-the details of your company information will then appear for you to edit                                 
-once you have finished editing click ‘Submit’ and your changes will be updated

To Add Extra Login IDs:
- click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘Extra Logins’
-fill out the required fields including name, email and password for the new login
-click ‘Add’ to add the login. The new login will have access to the Social Diary website and receive the daily newsletters

To Remove Extra Login IDs:
- click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘Extra Logins’
-scroll down to ‘Current Logins’
-select the login that you wish to remove and click ‘Delete’ next to it

To Renew Your Subscription:
- click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘View Subscription’
-on the right side of the page click ‘manage my subscription’
-details of your subscription will be listed and to renew click ‘Renew’

To Select Your Newsletter Frequency:
- click on the ‘My Dashboard’ Tile
-then click on ‘View Subscription’
-on the right side of the page click ‘manage my subscription’
-scroll down to ‘Newsletter Options’                                                                                        
-use the slide buttons to select if you would like the newsletter Daily (Monday-Thursday), Weekly (Friday) and/or EDMs
